We went on two wonderful trips with Thomas.
With a lot of (insider) knowledge about the country and its people, we learned a lot about the country. The trips went to Santo Domingo and Samana.
In Santo Domingo: History of the city and the island, another highlight was the visit to the caves under the city. In Samana, visit the market, visit a local family with a tasting of tea, cocoa and coffee, then we continued through the mountains – safari-like with a visit to the beach. We did 4 tours with Thomas and Gringo in February. In the Los Haitisis National Park, to the Waalen, to the Dominican Switzerland, to the waterfalls and we spent 4 great days. The Waalen is an experience you shouldn’t miss. Thomas is a funny, friendly Bavarian tour guide who is very familiar with the history of the Dom Rep. We had a great time on the 4 excursions. I can only recommend it.

I can report a wonderful experience with tour guide Thomas in the Haitian National Park. His relaxed way of conveying his extensive knowledge often made us laugh. The speedboat ride alone is an adventure. I was deeply touched when I saw the bird island with its many pelicans. The cave experiences were downright exciting. Excellent hospitality rounded off the trip, making it an unforgettable experience for me.
We have booked 3 wonderful tours. All 3 tours were so beautiful and unforgettable. We really enjoyed that Thomas explained everything to us in German and took so much time for us. His knowledge of the Dominican Republic is admirable… Whether it’s animals or plants, politics and people or history, Thomas knows the answer to every question. It’s also great that these are private tours and you can exchange ideas in a small group. We will definitely be back next year and will book tours again. Top in all areas and only recommended…
